Common questions
New boats on MMK or NauSYS aren’t syncing to Floatist
Section titled “New boats on MMK or NauSYS aren’t syncing to Floatist”New boats added on the MMK or NauSYS side don’t appear in Floatist automatically — you need to create them in Floatist explicitly:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > MMK for MMK, or Settings > Integrations > NauSYS for NauSYS.
- Find the new boat in the list. Boats from the integration that aren’t yet in Floatist show a Create button next to them.
- Click Create to add the boat to Floatist. Repeat for each new boat.
For the full walkthroughs, see MMK Setup or NauSYS Setup.
Why an MMK booking might not appear
Section titled “Why an MMK booking might not appear”A reservation only syncs if its boat and bases are mapped to Floatist — each needs its MMK ID filled in. If a reservation’s yacht or base isn’t mapped, Floatist silently skips it — there’s no error. If an MMK booking isn’t showing up, first check that the boat exists in Floatist with its MMK ID set — see New boats on MMK or NauSYS aren’t syncing to Floatist above.
Why a NauSYS booking might not appear
Section titled “Why a NauSYS booking might not appear”A reservation only syncs if its boat is mapped to Floatist — the boat needs its NauSYS ID filled in. If a reservation’s yacht isn’t mapped, Floatist silently skips it — there’s no error. If a NauSYS booking isn’t showing up, first check that the boat exists in Floatist with its NauSYS ID set — see New boats on MMK or NauSYS aren’t syncing to Floatist above.
Manual syncing of bookings — the trigger button doesn’t work
Section titled “Manual syncing of bookings — the trigger button doesn’t work”In most cases the sync is working — it’s just slow. A full MMK sync can take up to 12 minutes to complete depending on the number of bookings and MMK’s API speed. After clicking Synchronize bookings, give it that long before assuming the sync failed.
If bookings still haven’t appeared after 15 minutes:
- Try Synchronize bookings again on Bookings > List.
- Check that the boat itself was created in Floatist and the integration ID is filled in — see New boats on MMK or NauSYS aren’t syncing to Floatist above.
- Still stuck? Contact support@floatist.com.
I deleted images from MMK but they still appear in Floatist
Section titled “I deleted images from MMK but they still appear in Floatist”Boat photos are brought into Floatist by importing them from MMK or NauSYS — see Importing boat images from MMK. Once imported, they’re your own copies in Floatist, so deleting the originals on the integration side doesn’t remove them.
To remove them, delete the images directly in Floatist: go to the boat in the Fleet section and open its Images. This is fully self-serve — no need to contact support.
How do I edit a booking that came from an integration?
Section titled “How do I edit a booking that came from an integration?”Bookings imported from MMK or NauSYS have their core fields locked — Floatist keeps them in sync with the source system. To edit one in Floatist, you need to detach the booking from its source first.
See Detaching from an external source for the step-by-step. Once detached, the booking no longer syncs from the integration, and you can edit (or delete) it freely in Floatist.
Client details aren’t showing in some bookings
Section titled “Client details aren’t showing in some bookings”If client names look incomplete or end up in the wrong field, check how the name was entered in your booking system. Floatist parses guest names as first name + last name in that order. If the name was entered as [LASTNAME] [FIRSTNAME], the parts will be swapped or appear unexpectedly in Floatist.
Make sure your team’s data-entry process is consistent: enter every guest as [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME]. Fix any existing bookings on the booking-system side, and the next sync will update them in Floatist automatically.
Guest name changes in MMK aren’t showing up in Floatist
Section titled “Guest name changes in MMK aren’t showing up in Floatist”When an agency enters a guest name in MMK and the charter company later edits it, MMK Booking Manager doesn’t update the guest name in their API. This is an MMK-side limitation that Floatist can’t pull through automatically.
To fix the name in Floatist, detach the booking from the integration and edit it directly:
- Open the booking in Floatist.
- Detach it from the source — see Detaching from an external source for the step-by-step.
- Once detached, edit the guest name directly in Floatist.
The booking will no longer sync from MMK after this, so any further changes in MMK won’t pull through — but the correct name will show on the booking in Floatist.
What the sync statuses mean
Section titled “What the sync statuses mean”Each booking from MMK or NauSYS shows a small sync status badge. Here’s what each one means:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pull working | All good — Floatist last pulled this booking successfully (hover to see when). |
| Push working | All good — Floatist last pushed this booking’s availability successfully. |
| Waiting to synchronize | Queued; it’ll update on the next sync (or press Synchronize bookings). |
| Pull disabled / Push disabled | The matching toggle is off on the integration’s setup page. |
| Missing credentials | The API key (MMK) or username/password (NauSYS) isn’t set. |
| Booking’s boat is not integrated | The boat has no MMK/NauSYS ID, so it can’t sync — add the ID on the boat. |
| Detached from MMK / NauSYS | The booking was detached from its source and no longer syncs. |
| Pull error | The last sync failed — usually invalid API credentials. |
| Push error | The last push failed — usually the dates are already unavailable in the other system, or invalid credentials. |
| Invalid dates (NauSYS) | The booking isn’t Saturday-to-Saturday, which NauSYS requires for pushed options. |
Why does my Floatist booking show up as an “option” called “Floatist” in MMK?
Section titled “Why does my Floatist booking show up as an “option” called “Floatist” in MMK?”That’s expected. When Floatist pushes a booking to MMK, it creates an option (named “Floatist”) rather than a confirmed reservation — so it can release the dates again if you later cancel the booking in Floatist. MMK only allows cancelling options, not confirmed reservations. The option holds just the dates and yacht, so an “option” from Floatist may well correspond to a confirmed booking.
A booking shows an agency’s contact details instead of the guest’s
Section titled “A booking shows an agency’s contact details instead of the guest’s”When an MMK booking has no charterer details on file, Floatist can fall back to the agency’s contact info (when that’s enabled for your account). As soon as any charterer details exist, the charterer is shown instead.
