Reporting
If your account uses Floatist Payments to collect guest payments online, you will receive one of two types of reports on a weekly basis. This page covers what each one is, and when to expect it.
The two types of reports
Section titled “The two types of reports”- Payout statement email. Once a week, an email arrives from support@floatist.com with a PDF statement showing your latest payout: the total amount paid out, and the guest payments behind it.
- QuickBooks invoices. If you are integrated with QuickBooks, let our team know at support@floatist.com. Your account can then be updated automatically once a week with the invoices behind that payout, so your books stay in sync without manual entry.
You’ll only receive one of these, not both. Which one depends on how your account is set up.
How the payout cycle works
Section titled “How the payout cycle works”Floatist Payments pays out your available balance on a regular weekly schedule. Available balance means every guest payment that has finished processing by that point.
A guest payment isn’t available to pay out the moment it’s made. There’s a settlement period between when a guest pays and when that payment becomes available, after which it’s included in your next scheduled payout.
Your payout statement email typically follows a day or two after the payout itself, once everything for that payout has finished processing.
What’s in the payout statement
Section titled “What’s in the payout statement”The statement ties your payout together with the booking payments that made it up, so you can reconcile the two at a glance: the total paid out, and each booking payment counted toward it.
If anything in a statement looks off, or you have questions about a payout, reach out to support@floatist.com.
