Configuring the site

This is a checklist of things to complete prior to your site’s go-live day. Everything in the first sections is yours to configure directly in Floatist. The final section covers items that the Floatist team handles — reach out to support@floatist.com when you’re ready for those.

  • Upload your company logo in Settings > Global settings. The logo is used across the marketing site, the booking flow, and generated PDFs — set it once and it applies everywhere.

In Settings > Marketing > Website:

  • Add or review the content for your Home, Contact, and About us pages.
  • Choose your font, brand color, home page secondary color, and footer color.
  • Configure your working hours, Google review link, social links, partner logos, and privacy policy.
  • On each boat page in Settings > Fleet, add a rich description, highlights, and specs — content that helps a guest picture being on that boat. This is one of the biggest conversion levers on your site.
  • Upload at least 5 high-quality images per boat. If you use an MMK or NauSYS integration, confirm those images are imported. Sort them in your preferred order — the first image appears in the fleet listing and at the top of the boat detail page. See Image specifications for recommended sizes and aspect ratios.
  • In Settings > Marketing > Bases and boats, enable each boat for the marketing website. Boats that are not enabled will not appear publicly.

In Settings > Bases:

  • Add rich, well-written information for each base. Base content is visible on both the base page and individual boat detail pages, so a good description pays off in two places.
  • Add each base’s Google Maps ID so the map embed renders correctly on the base page.

In Settings > Marketing > Availability and pricing:

  • Every boat has availability configured. See Boat availability for setup instructions.
  • Every boat has pricing configured. See Boat pricing for setup instructions.

In Settings > Marketing > Payments:

  • Configure the first installment percentage — the share of the total due at the time of booking (e.g. 10%).
  • Configure the full payment window — if a charter starts within this many days of booking, the full amount is due upfront.
  • Add your Adyen merchant ID to accept online payments.

These items can only be set up by the Floatist team. Contact support@floatist.com when the sets above are complete.

  • Favicon generation and upload — favicon.ico, apple-touch-icon.png, and web-app-manifest files. Note: favicons are cached for weeks. Confirm your final brand assets before requesting this — changes after the fact are not straightforward.
  • Redirects from your existing website — Floatist maps your old URLs to new ones so Google preserves your existing rankings. Without this, your site loses all accumulated SEO value on cutover.
  • Google Analytics ID configuration.
  • Google site verification.
